Jeff Blixt, D.O.

As a practicing Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine in Colorado Springs, Dr Blixt is passionate about providing his clients a holistic approach toward their medical and lifestyle challenges. He is trained to offer medication-assisted therapy for substance use disorders, including addictions to pain pills, heroin, alcohol, opiates, and benzodiazepines.
He also specializes in bariatric medicine, and the treatment of obesity related disorders.
Dr. Blixt is Board Certified in Family Practice and Addiction Medicine. He is a member of the American Osteopathic Association, the American Society of Addiction Medicine, the American Society of Bariatric Physicians, and the American Osteopathic Academy of Addiction Medicine.
Dr. Blixt received his BA in Biology from St. Olaf College in 1993, and his DO Degree from Chicago College of Osteopathic Medicine in 1997. From 1997-2000 he attended Midwestern University, Arizona with one-year traditional rotating internship and 2 year family practice residency.
Emily Neel
Emily has been working with Dr. Blixt since he started his family practice in 2000 in Colorado Springs. As the Office Manager, Emily runs the entire front office and will be the friendly voice on the other end of the phone. She is here to help you along your journey with Dr. Blixt. Passionate about her work, Emily loves to see clients succeed and achieve their personal wellness goals. Having worked with Dr. Blixt for over 17 years, Emily is well versed in the services and requirements of Dr. Blixt’s weight loss program, and substance use disorder program and can answer any questions you may have.
Native to California, Emily moved to Colorado in 1993 with her husband. Emily is a loving wife and mother to three children, and is a HUGE football fan (GO BRONCOS!). She is active in bicycling, hiking, and spending time with her family.
